  • The 8-1 vote shows that justices across the spectrum agreed that the law was too broad. Congress needs to rewrite it so that it's effective

  • I also agree that these officers are exaggerating to make a point -- that generally healthier kids are good for the country's future. In fact, a generally healthier population overall is good for the country.

  • The officers are using a bit of hyperbole, but they do have a point. Healthy kids are vital to the nation's future for many reasons.

  • I've had numerous encounters with Doctors who were rude, arrogant, or just too impatient to listen. I've never had a problem like that with a NP. As far as I'm concerned, Nurses Rule! I believe they are quite capable of handling any routine medical issue, as well as any MD.

  • Joe, your comment that "rich people tend to buy more than poor people" does not really tell the whole story. Yes, in absolute numbers a rich person will buy more "stuff" than a poor person. But that rich person will also put a lot of that money aside for his kids instead of spending it.
